Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety and proper supervision of all campers and staff at the waterfront
  • Manage and oversee all waterfront activities and operations
  • Deliver waterfront instruction and programming in an enthusiastic, safe, and responsible manner
  • Conduct swimming tests for all campers upon arrival
  • Develop and enforce an effective “buddy check” system
  • Train staff in waterfront safety procedures during training week
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe waterfront area
  • Perform daily camp tasks and safely traverse the camp’s 250-acre property
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Experience working with children
  • Current Lifeguard certification
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Physically capable of performing duties in an outdoor camp environment
  • Experience in fishing, canoeing, and kayaking preferred
